Mollie's 2nd birthday

Our little girl is 2 now!!! I can't believe it sometimes that I have a 2 year old little girl running around my house yelling 'no' at everything. She went to the doctor yesterday and here are the stats:
weight: 23lbs 6oz (10%)
height: 31 1/4" (0%)
She's out little munchkin. Dr. King gave her a big thumbs up to how she's growing and we couldn't be more pleased.

Her birthday party is on the 28th at our house. We are sharing it this year with Mollie's best friend Presley. It's easier this way b/c we would have so many of the same people at our party.

Just a few more weeks til Uncle Marc and Aunt Shosh's wedding. We are so looking forward to it.

So Sorry!

I know, I have been very lazy about keeping up with Mollie's blog, but this little girl is keeping her mommy VERY busy! New things going on with Mollie...a whole lot! She is constantly talking, whether or not we understand her, it doesn't matter. She loves yelling her Aunt Jill's name (Jeeel) at the top of her lungs, usually in the car. We went to Boston the beginning of May and Mollie had a GREAT time. She saw some old friends (from last year) and a new friend (who wasn't born last year).

Coming up for us...(by the way, Mollie is 23 months today). We are going to Easton, MD to see Mollie's Baba J and Papa Steve and other family members. Mollie's birthday we will celebrate at our house and we will have a birthday party with Mollie's best friend Presley at the end of June. Her next doctor appointment is in June and we will see how much she has grown!

I promise I will keep up better with her blog since I know she will be doing so many more things in the future!

One Proud Mommy!

I know this is something that most people don't want to know, but as parents, you would understand. Mollie is sitting in her highchair eating dinner, and I know she's "pushing something out". She stopped pushing, looked at me and said "poopy".

Does that mean I need to start potty training??? My baby can't be ready for that yet!

January update

Mollie is saying new things EVERYDAY! She is really getting her own little personality and uses it all the time. Her newest words are:
no..mine
when you say one, she looks at you and say two
reads to a book Moo Baa La La La
up and down
and Harry's favorite...I love you (too cute)

She gets her own little temper tantrums (like right now) and just makes us laugh every single day.

A little delayed :)

Sorry for not updating as much as I should have, but having an 18-month old is a little tiring. Here is the latest updates on Mollie:
20lbs 4oz (5%)
30 1/4" (8%)
and her head is like the 65%...big head, big brains.

And yes Mollie is finally walking. She started about 3 weeks ago (thanks to Aunt Jill) and hasn't stopped since. She's had a stomach bug and now she's dealing with croup...nothing is ever normal at our house.

She had a great Chanukkah...lots of new toys, books, puzzles and clothes. She loved opening all of them.

Happy 2009!!

Seriously, again?

I swear, sometimes I feel that Mollie is always sick! Yesterday when I got home from work, Harry told me that Mollie has been very clingy since waking up from her nap. Didn't think anything of it, since she is usually like that every once and awhile.

We ordered chinese food and Mollie was refusing to eat anything. She did like the broth of the soup, so I gave her some of that with rice. And she seemed to have enjoyed that. After dinner, she was sitting on my lap, gagged on something and threw up all over me, and proceeded to rub her head in it. Harry and I got her undressed and in the bath (not before she threw up on him also). After the bath, she was like a different child...very happy, laughing, talking, etc. We gave her a bottle with her medicine in it and I put her down at 8:00.

Harry and I were in our room at 10:00 and we heard her moaning. I went in there, picked her up and she threw up all over herself and her bed. It was LOVELY!!! We got her cleaned up, stripped her bed (threw them in the washing machine) and she laid down in bed with us. Harry moved her into the other room around 12:00. At 2:00, she was having a hard time sleeping, so I got some Motrin for her, got it in her and she slept in our bed until about 7:30.

This poor baby! I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow, so I'm hoping that they will find at least something to give her and back her better.

PS-We went this morning to the doctor and all it is is a virus. Right now she's been asleep since 8:00 with NO PROBLEMS!!!

Construction All Done!!!

I think we are all done with construction in our house for awhile. First, it was the kitchen and Mollie had to eat all of her meals in the family room. Then, it was the bedroom across from hers and she smelled paint for 2 days and finally it's the den that she has been kicked out of since Monday morning. Well, we are finally done and she is playing with her toys in the den. But now, she's looking at the sunroom and pointing to it...so, I'm thinking that she had been enjoying playing in there.

She hasn't been sleeping for the past 2 weeks and when she doesn't sleep, neither do we. I took her to the doctor on Tuesday, just to make sure that there is nothing wrong with her. Dr. King checked her ears, her mouth, nose, everything...there is nothing wrong with her! (Which I already knew). Dr. King suggested that some kids just need some medication to fall asleep, so he told me to give her Benadryl every night. Well, the past 2 nights, she has slept almost 11 hours. I think it's working. But he said that we should only do it this week and next week. Harry goes out of town the first week of November, so I will start sleep training her then....hopefully, it won't get too stressful for me!

Mollie is starting to stand up by herself for a few seconds at a time. But whenever anyone gets excited about her doing it, she sits down, so I think her first step will be when no one is looking!

We will update another time!
